In honor of this fun holiday, The Breakers is serving up specialty margaritas in all of our restaurants and bars – all delicious drinks that would also make a wonderful addition to your wedding’s cocktail menu!

 

If you can’t raise a glass with us, honor the holiday at home with these tempting recipes…

 

The Breakers’ Ultra Premium Margarita
National Margarita Day!

 

What you’ll need:
2 oz. Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Anejo Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. Fresh squeezed lime juice (1 lime)
1 oz. Fresh squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
1 oz. Fresh squeezed orange juice (1/2 orange)
1 oz. Agave Nectar
1/2 oz. Grand Marnier

 

How to:
In a large cocktail shaker with ice, combine tequila, Cointreau, juices, and agave nectar.
Shake vigorously and serve in a chilled glass or on the rocks with a salt-rimmed glass.
Finish with a Grand Marnier float and add a fresh lime wedge to garnish.

 

Electric Blue and Frozen Strawberry Margaritas
National Margarita Day!

 

Electric Blue                                   Frozen Strawberry
1 1/2 oz. Tequila                              1 1/2 oz Tequila
1 oz. Blue Curacao                            1 oz Triple Sec
1 oz. Fresh lime juice                       1 oz Lime juice
Lime wedge for garnish                   Fresh strawberry for garnish
Salt for rimming the glass              

 

Pink Raspberry Margarita
National Margarita Day!

 

What you’ll need:
1 oz Voodoo Tiki Desert Rose Tequila
1 oz Tequila Rose
1/2 oz Crème de Noyaux
1/2 oz Chambord
2 ½ oz Cream
Dash of Grenadine
Sugar for rimming the glass
Fresh raspberries or strawberries for garnish

 

How to:
Rim a chilled margarita glass with sugar. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with fresh raspberries.

Let Your Drink Don A Tux Too

The groom and his buddies will wear a tuxedo on the big day – why not choose a specialty drink to match? The Breakers’ Black & White ‘Tuxedo’ Chocolate Martini is a sweet and sleek treat for your cocktail hour.

 

Tuxedo Martini

 

Want to try one at home after the groom tries on his tux? Grab a shaker and shake up some yumminess.

 

What you’ll need:
• 2 oz. Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka
• 1 oz. Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
• 1 oz. Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur
• ¾ Cointreau
• 1 (or a few) black and white striped chocolate stick(s)

 

How to:
• In a large shaker with ice, combine the liquid ingredients
• Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass
• Garnish with the black and white striped chocolate stick(s)
• Sweet secret: Substitute the Godiva Dark for Chambord and you have yourself a White Chocolate Raspberry Martini.

Order the Seafood Mary at The Breakers’ Sunday Brunch in the Circle Ballroom, or whip one up at home!

 

What you’ll need:
• Vodka
• Bloody Mary Mix
• Old Bay Seasoning
• Jumbo shrimp
• Cocktail onion
• Cherry tomato
• Pickled green tomato garnish

 

How to:
• In a large shaker, combine Bloody Mary Mix and Vodka with ice
• Add Old Bay Seasoning and shake vigorously
• Garnish with jumbo shrimp, cocktail onion and cherry and pickled green tomatoes

Macchiato Chino
Frothy milk, espresso, whip cream and nutmeg sprinkles

 

Cranberry Tea
Hot tea, honey, cranberry juice and cinnamon stick

 

Mocha Latte
Hot coffee, hot chocolate, whip cream and chocolate sprinkles

 

Spice it up: Consider adding a little rum, Kahlua liqueur or Baileys Irish Cream and turn it into a cocktail!

1 1/2 oz Curacao
1 oz Canton Ginger Liqueur
1 oz Sweet and sour mix
Garnished with an edible Orchid
