Cinco de Mayo may celebrate the Mexican victory over France in 1862, but at The Breakers’ we feel it’s important to drink to both sides of the Battle of Puebla on this fifth day of May. But we won’t just raise any glass – we’ll raise a Cointreaurita!

Created by The Breakers’ master sommelier Juan Gomez – originally from Mexico City – and Richard Lambert, of Rémy Cointreau – originally from Angers, France – the Cointreaurita is the perfect blend of Mexican independence with a French influence. The eclectic drink is also a favorite specialty cocktail on The Breakers’ Tapestry Bar menu.

Stop by The Tapestry Bar this weekend, or mix up a Cointreaurita at home!

How to:

3 oz of Patrón silver tequila

1 oz sweet and sour mix

1/2 oz fresh squeezed yuzu

1 oz Cointreau

Serve with Cointreau spheres and salty foam

Here’s a yummy drink to warm your inners while you sip with a smile and enjoy the beautiful ocean breeze. Can a winter get any better?

Macchiato Chino
Frothy milk, espresso, whip cream and nutmeg sprinkles

Cranberry Tea
Hot tea, honey, cranberry juice and cinnamon stick

Mocha Latte
