Living in Miami, Mark and Joelle knew they wanted to get married somewhere in South Florida. Choosing The Breakers for their special day – could have been the easiest decisions the two had to make!

 

 

“The Breakers was by far our favorite venue,” says the bride. “We immediately fell in love with the regal feel and gorgeous ballrooms and instantly knew The Breakers was the perfect place for our wedding!

“As far as favorite memories or moments, we have a few. One moment a little non-traditional – from the morning of our wedding,” says Joelle. “Mark and I woke up early and shared coffee and muffin in the courtyard outside of The Breakers News and Gourmet. Although traditionally the bride and groom don’t see each other before the wedding, we really enjoyed sharing a calm and quiet moment together before all of the preparations and celebrations for our big day began.”

 

 

 

“My favorite moment was walking down the aisle. I took a few steps into The Circle ballroom and paused for a moment before I began walking down the aisle,” says Joelle. “Although we were in a large ballroom, all of the candles, decor, and the ethereal look of the chuppah created such a romantic and intimate setting that it felt like Mark and I were the only two people in the room.”

 

 

“Making our entrance as Mr. and Mrs. Simms into the ballroom was so exciting,” Joelle says. “We chose to attend our cocktail hour, so we hadn’t seen the ballroom and all of the gorgeous decor until we made our entrance. The room was absolutely stunning and it was so amazing seeing all of our friends and family so happy and excited to celebrate our marriage.”

As a Florida native, Hannah grew up loving The Breakers – especially since her parents were married at the hotel 30 years ago! And once her groom-to-be Ben saw the property, the two knew there was no other place they rather be wed.

 

 

The couple said their “I Dos” in the Gold Room and celebrated the night in The Circle – complete with Hannah’s “shabby chic” Southern-Floridian inspired décor, and a group of beautiful bridesmaids all dressed in pink – with cowboy boots!

 

“The weekend went so perfectly! Everything was seamless,” Hannah says. “The entire Breaker’s crew and our planner Sara Renee’s crew handled everything with such ease. Nothing went wrong! It was a dream.”

“Our favorite moment was when we saw each other for the first time! It was the first time our nerves finally settled…” Hannah says. “We were so anxious and excited to see each other and once we finally did, we could breathe again! It was so magical.”

Choosing The Breakers was a very easy decision for Emily and Jeff. For Emily, who grew up spending her summers in Palm Beach swimming at The Breakers, saying “I Do” at her favorite resort and in front of the Atlantic Ocean, was a dream come true.

 

 

“We visited The Breakers last New Year’s Eve with friends and when we walked around the resort, I just kept thinking in my head about a wedding here some day,” Emily says. “When Jeff proposed last spring, I knew The Breakers was where I wanted to be married. The beach was a must and all I could picture was this beautiful location so near and dear to me. I knew it would be perfect – and it absolutely was.”

“We both agree that it’s hard to pick one memory from our wedding day, but what made the day most special was having all our family and friends from all over the country share and support us on our wedding day,” Emily says. “I don’t think either of us could stop smiling the whole day.”

Since last summer, we have followed the wedding journey of Florida native Jessica and her groom-to-be Jordon. The two recently said ‘I Do’ and we are so excited to share their lovely wedding images with you!

 

 

“The wedding day and our entire wedding weekend was more spectacular than we ever could have imagined! Everything was flawless and I couldn’t believe how I did not have a single worry the day of,” Jessica gushes. “It was truly a dream come true and we were even more excited when the night ended and we were taken up to our suite that had been so kindly upgraded by The Breakers to the Royal Poinciana Suite!”

“The Breakers has always been a special place for my parents. They, as well as both my mom’s brother and sister were married at the beautiful Palm Beach resort,” Jessica says. “It was very special that their only daughter chose to have her wedding reception where they both share memories of their own wedding. As they celebrated our wedding day they were reminiscing of their wedding 27 years ago.”

 

 

 

 

“I think both of us would have to say our favorite moment was entering the stunning Venetian ballroom. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined – it took my breath away when we walked in!” Jessica says. “Jordon and I were both AMAZED by the gorgeous wedding cake!”

When we saw Grether and George’s stunning engagement photos taken at The Breakers, we knew their wedding would be nothing short of amazing.

 

 

The couple wanted to create a winter wonderland at a seaside palace – and our team did just that: Complete with a firework show as soon as the two said “I Do” on Ocean Lawn, and flowing snowflakes as the couple walked in the Circle Ballroom.
